With deep sadness we announce the death of Connie Mae Nugent.
Today would have marked her 61st birthday, she fought hard to make it to this day.
But her cancer had other plans, marking her passing June 12th/2024.
Her friends and family described her fight as inspiring, a true cancer warrior.
In 2010 she found the first lump in her breast, riddled in fear and anger she later found out it was breast cancer.
This was just the beginning of her fight.
With many chemo and radiation treatments she was cancer free, or so we thought.
Many years later after praying she was in the clear in 2017 she was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer.
Spreading through her body at a pace none of us could have imagined.
She fought hard again through many rounds of different chemo and radiation to get rid of this dang disease.
But unfortunately this time it was terminal.
Connie wasn’t just known for her cancer.
She was intelligent, witty and resilient.
She was an incredible listener, passing no judgement only love to the people around her.
Her life hadn’t always been easy, which is maybe why she had such brilliant advice to give.
Connie loved her family deeply, and we loved her right back.
She showed us that family will always come first no matter what.
Although her fight is over, her memory will live on.
Many of us wouldn’t have gotten through some of our darkest moments without her love and guidance.
We are forever grateful we got to be a part of your life.
Connie you will be deeply loved and missed by anyone who got to share your presence.
We love you auntie 💗🐦⬛Sent from Wendy’s iPhone
