chemo brain

There’s a condition that effects some chemo patients that for a long time doctors fru fru’d as being stress or fatigue related called “chemo brain” but they’re now researching it. It can effect short-term memory and concentration. I’ve always had a good memory and a good recall but lately I don’t. I have to make lists which I’ve never done in my life, like for the grocery store or make note of future doctor appointments and trying to describe things or remember the name of something sometimes is impossible. Today I was trying to follow a simple 5 step recipe and had to go back to it time and again in order to get it done. I’ve joked about this with some people but it is really frustrating for me. I’m still gonna chalk it up to being fatigued and stressed and not as yet another side-effect to deal with that will fix itself ‘when chemo treatment is over’.
