It all started at my desk this morning with the Welcome Back balloons. All the hugs and well-wishes and welcome backs followed as well as the gifts that mean the world to me but would mean nothing to anyone else. I was overwhelmed by it all really. I never expected to hear as many times as I did that I was missed and they were glad to have me back. It gave me the warm fuzzies all over. Thanks guys! I think the company I work for is awesome and I am so lucky to be working for them. They allowed me to focus on getting well and not worry about my job and for that, I’m grateful.
I’ve forgotten a lot of stuff work-wise, but I’ve remembered lots too. I think another few days and I’ll be up to speed. I think I was operating on adrenaline today and felt fine until I was in the car driving home. Then I got tired. For now, the turtle will win the race. But I gotta say, it’s so nice to be back!
